This is a Chitwan Day trip Package that combines an hour canoeing trip, a half-day jungle walk, and half day jeep safari in the core area of the Chitwan National Park. Doing an hour of Canoeing trip allows you to see 2 different types of crocodiles including the critically endangered Crocodile “Gharial” and Mass Magar crocodile and more than 50 different types of colourful Birds, swimming Rhinos in the river.
Going into the jungle on foot makes you part of the jungle, you will go closer to the rare animals. Going into the Jungle on a walk is an amazing experience that takes you closer to the rare animal, 600 Greater one-horned Rhinoceros and 100+ nocturnal Royal Bengal Tigers. Following fresh foot marks of Animals, Climbing trees, crossing streams, hearing animal activities and going closer is the most amazing fact reality of jungle walks, and tracking Rhinos and tigers. you will walk through the tallest “Elephant grass ”, a beautiful forest, following a stream etc.
Taking a jeep in Chitwan National Park is the best way to cover a big area and will take you deep into the jungle. You will go through the sal forest, grassland, mixed forest and some lakes. Jeep is exciting to ride on an open into the dense forest of Chitwan National park. And you will discover a wild world of 8-meter high Elephant grass, towering trees and twisting vines, Pre-historic Rhino, Elephant, Crocodiles, pythons, 4 types of deer, monkeys, common leopards, more than 500 different types of colourful Birds etc. jeep will stop at the observation tower, Lakes, and some Animal sighting area to spot the animals
Overview
Day tour
( Canoeing+ jungle walk+ jeep safari)
- 060hrs: Pick up from your lobby hotel in Sauraha.
- 0630hrs will be breakfast. (Toast, egg any style, fried potato, tea or coffee). Introduction with guides.
- safety briefing, and Do’s and Don’ts
- 0700hrs: Start Safari, first on the Canoeing trip (dough out canoe which is made from a single trunk of the tree) with two guides . And go about an hour canoeing along the Rapt River, Possible to see 2 different types of Crocodile, Rhinos, more or less 50 different types of colourful birds, etc… Guides know the name and information about flora and fauna, they speak English
- 0830hrs: Start jungle trekking on THE WILDERNESS OF HEART OF JUNGLE TRAIL. Again, before we start the trekking we brief about the Animal’s behaviour and safety idea against the Animal. And walking style, and jungle communication language. The walking area is plain and we will walk for more or less 2-3 hours. (On the jungle walk we will take you to a possible area where there is water, grass and forest) on the walk sometime we will take you to an observation tower and make you break there.
- 0120 hrs. we make a LUNCH break on the observation tower in the park. It is possible to see some wildlife from the observation tower, such as tigers, rhinos, bears, deer, many birds, etc.
- 0130 hrs. start Jeep safari. After having lunch on the tower jeep will come to you and you go on the jeep for Safari. Jeep will take you through the grassland, forest, by the lakes. Jeep will take you main two lake called LAMI LAKE, which is very famous for mass magar crocodiles, many birds, rhinos, deer, bears, and more….
- Crocodile breeding centre: after driving for about 2 hrs jeep will take you Gharial crocodile breeding centre. And make you 20min break to visit the centre. For everything guide will assist you,
- Again jeep will take you to the different famous and biggest lake in the park TAMOUR LAKE, which is also famous for the Tiger, Rhinos, Birds, bears and much more wildlife.
- Before sunset, we have to leave the park. Upon arrival at the ending point of the trip.
- Drive back to the hotel

- You must have a very good level of fitness for this tour as you are required to be outdoors the entire time and be prepared to trek for up to 5-8 km.
- The tour can’t be done throughout the whole year.
