Elephant Breeding Center, Sauraha, Chitwan
Of all the animals, elephant probably are the most graceful. On your visit to the hattisar (Elephant Breeding Center) you will demonstrate how elephants meals are prepared and how they eat, and you will get various information on the nature and habits of elephants. The unique center was established in 1985 for the captive breeding of domesticated elephant trapping for domestication.
Located in Sauraha the Elephant breeding center was set up to protect the endangered elephants in the region. There are often many baby elephants there and a small museum. The center is walkable from Sauraha but it will take 1 hour depending on the heat and road conditions. Tours or rickshaw transport are available part of the way.
Entrance prices are 100 rupees for a foreigner (westerner), 50 SAARC, 25 Nepalese. Opening hours are 6am to 6pm though generally it starts to close around 5pm.

Tharu Cultural Programs and Stick Dance
The Tharu Culture Program organized at Sauraha , plays a significant role to entertain the tourist visiting Chitwan National Park and to introduce the Tharu Culture and tradition to the tourists. Majority of the tourist arriving at Chitwan have experience the Tharu culture program.
Spectators get full entertainment by the Tharu dances. Dances like Danda Nach (Stick Dance) and Ago Nach (Fire Dance) Mayur Nach (Peacock Dance) are some the popular highlights of the culture show. The program start at 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm every evening or on Demand and lasts for 45 minutes. The cultural program has helped spread awareness about the Tharu culture through out the world.

Elephant Bath
Elephant bath is also one of the main attraction of Chitwan, If you want to have bath with Elephant than this is the thing that you should do in sauraha, to watch it is free, but if you do than they charge at the same time and place 200/person, on the river side of Sauraha, from 10 am to 11 am, next to the Rapti River.

Wildlife Display & Information Centre
Aimed more at school groups than tourists, this educational centre has displays on wildlife, including a rather macabre display of animals in formaldehyde, skulls, plaster-cast footprints and a collection of animal dung. If that doesn’t do it for you, there’s the stuffed gharial: one glance and you’ll never swim in Nepal again.
